“Using a refined and realistic approach to rendering, Passey investigates the metaphoric and narrative potential of her experience working with horses. Her drawings suggest a sense of nostalgia and the passing of time, and they explore the emotional resonance contained within specific objects and places.”

“This spring it was my pleasure to view Christina Passey’s graduate artwork of the skeleton of a horse and some hanging tack. Looking at the horse, one could easily imagine the proud animal in motion by the way she presented the work.  The attention she paid  to detail was simply amazing and her use of shading was beautiful. Christina is a very talented young lady.”

Over the past two years Christina has donated her art to a fundraiser for the Richmond Gateway theatre, all the artists work (130 artists) is appraised by a certified art appraiser and in his words ‘Christina’s work is just so amazingly good, especially for one so young, she will be an artist to watch’. I think owning a Christina Passey piece will be a point of pride for Vancouver art collecters as she becomes better and better known and acknowledged in the art circles.
